On November 23, 2025, Paul Stimmel and Anne completed work to insulate the water shutoff valves at buildings #4 and #5. These improvements will effectively protect the valves through the winter.
Steps Completed:
- Removed some gravel to access the pipes.
- Wrapped the exposed pipes with reflective insulation.
- Secured the insulation with outdoor duct tape.
- Added 1.5″ foam board insulation around the wrapped pipes.
- Constructed a foam-board lid to cover and protect the insulated section.
At building #4, the same steps were followed. An additional temporary foam-board box was built to fully surround the pipes for extra protection this winter.
